Tuesday 27th February - walks **** – Around Felixstowe – sunny periods.

Walk 1. Felixstowe Ferry

After yesterdays wild day when it was windy and the sea was very rough we had light breezes and a calm sea, its hard to belive two days cann be so different! I drove down to Felixstowe Ferry just after 8.30 to take some pics to send to the local TV weather, it was lovely out too with some glimpses of sunshine and the River Deben was very low, so had a paddle about in my wellies, got some pics of the new metal fence along the sea wall by the Martello Tower, they have made a nice job and I quite like the fence, does not look out of place:) Then home for breakfast and exercises, Mag has abit of a cold but she went to pick up her new glasses after her cataract op, hopefully her eye will sort itself out now, fingers crossed.

Walk 2. Felixstowe prom circuit including lunch at The Manor.

We were having Maeva at 2.30 so I was not sure if Mag would be up for a walk so considered a bike ride but when she returned from Specsavers with her lovely glasses she was up for a walk, so after my exercises I made a picnic and we sert off on a walk, I even had my shorts on to make the most of the nice weather. We walked to Lidl to get out free whopper cookie before continning through the very quiet Langer Park, past the Manor Martello and enjoyed our picnic lunch on the beach at the end of the prom being entertained by three turn stones:) Back along the prom, around the pier and home.

Walk 3. Felixstowe town with Maeva.

Maeva arrives and we a couple of things to do up the town so walk up there and home knackered for a very welcome cuppa and cake, I give Maeva the large chocolate cookie which she she, we didnnt let her eat it all, have saved some for another day. I must have walked over 5 miles today!
